Wim and me

Wim Wenders presented his Film PINA about Wuppertaler choreographer Pina Bausch here in Sarajevo. The 3D screening was in a the old socialist Youth House in Skenderija, and had its very own atmosphere to it.

we sat quite close to Wim (and I did not use the zoom):

They even had spotlights...

dogs in space

on my way into the city, usually some of the dogs that live at the place I am staying follow me. Yesterday they were enough to attract the attention of these fellas:

and this is Mala, the mother of the puppies, here peacefully asleep on the kitchen floor. Usually she wakes up at 5 in the morning and demands some sort of affection by forcibly opening the doors between her and any human being.

Sarajevo sunsets

The week in Stuttgart came and went in a blaze, so many wonderful new colleagues from all over the Balkans, so much information, and more than 7kg of books and papers to read and study... my luggage is bursting! Luckily, the bus ride to Sarajevo went super smooth and I even had two seats for myself, which made it all more comfortable.

The first day in Sarajevo was spent with my host Salih and some friends in a mountain cabin on the way to the waterfalls, where I went hiking the last time I was here. We drove up in a car and had wonderful food and wine, and an amazing sunset in haystacks.
