Great Ocean Road Trip

Friday night having some beers in the hostle, we spontaneously decided to go on a road trip along the Great Ocean Road. Having decided that the next rental car agency was only a click away and the next morning we - that is Lousa and Euen from Scotland, Chris from England and me - found ourselves walking towards the Hertz Office, longing for the aircondition of our future car. In the agency, the miracle happened: we were upgraded and got a huge automatic Toyota something, a ship to cruise the Ocean Road. after a breakfast stop in Geelong, we stopped at the first beach along the road and jumped into the waves. Heading on towards the 12 Apostles, we drove along breath taking beaches and rural farm land. Here cows actually have a sea view! In the late afternoon we stopped at a pristine untouched beach, surrounded by high sandstone cliffs. We decided to spend the night in Port Campbell and after checking into a backpacker hostle set out to fill our hungry stomachs with greasy fish and chips - but were soon disappointed. Apparently, everything there closes or stops serving food at 8 o'clock - we had to resort to beer and a elderly chicken to escape stravation. After our humble meal we had fun palying cheesy music on the veranda of the hostel till late at night.
HTe next morning we headed back towards Melbourne. Paying our visits to the 12 apostles and the Koala Cove we arrived there well travelled and tired.
