British India, one of the many up and comming Melbourne bands actually made into the Age, Melbournes most respectable newspaper. So we braved the elements and ventured out to the Youthfest in Moonee Ponds, where they were playing a free gig. The rest of the festival proved to be rather boring, the bands playing earlier were rather loud than good. and even British India disappointed. depicting themselves full-bodied as better as the rest, they made a weak performance. Though being around since 2004 and having enjoyed heaps of support from critics as well as fans, they still sounded like a first year garage band (to borrow the words from here).
The kids at the Youthfest liked it. I merely ticked them off my list.
